In the time of monarchy, ancient Israel had a fantastic government. The king, was the anointed one (choosen by God) (4:1). He guarded the well being of the people, and public affairs were his to take care of, even though his assistants did hold some power (4:1). King David and his son, Solomon, were a small chunk of this monarchy (4:1). Solomon constructed a temple to house the Arc of the Covent, the most revered object in Judaism (4:1).
